She is continuing to set the trend as local Afro diva. After becoming the first female jazz singer in Botswana to release an album three years, Punah Gabasiane has taken her trend-setting culture to another level by becoming the first local jazz singer, and the first female musician here to go online.

And Gabasiane says she decided to take her music online in order to expose her products and services to the international audience. Gabasiane, who has just released a third Afro-jazz album, says she was prompted to go online because the local market is not only small but it is also saturated while more and more artistes continue to emerge.

Gabasiane's website, www.punahg.com, however will only be available from the end of this month, according to the singer who added that she is going to officially launch it on September 8 in Gaborone. Gabasiane says her website would carry her discography, as well as a detailed profile about her and the music she is into. " It will also tell the reader about my functions with the aim to market myself for possible bookings, either locally or beyond our borders," Gabasiane explained in an interview over the weekend.
