Promoters plan an action-packed month-end

Indications are that entertainment promoters are determined to cash in on this cash-saturated weekend - and the last in August - by coming up with a variety of mouthwatering entertainment activities in Gaborone and Francistown.

In  Gaborone, the fun starts today with a specially designed 18-rated  show at Maitisong, Shaken, not stirred, dubbed as a show for every kind of man who likes every kind of woman. The  top drawer for jazz lovers  is tonight at the Botswana Craft where Zimbabwe's Oliver Mtukudzi, and South Africa's Steve Dyer and their sons are expected to draw multitudes. In Francistown Louis Mhlanga, another Zim jazz  heavyweight,  will be performing at the newly opened jazz joint, the Pleasure Island at the Thapama Lodge on Saturday.

For the youthful crowd, a new clothing label, Korupt85 launches  at the Lizard Lounge tomorrow (Friday) with  a line-up of DJs that includes Choto, Kellz, house Junkies, Spitz, and others, while at the Limkwokwing University, the college's Student Representative Council (SRC)  is throwing a bash featuring one of the popular South African artistes, Hip-hop Pantsula. Not to be outdone, Zen Promotions are on the same night hosting what they have termed  "House Explosion", at the University of Botswana Amphitheatre. The main attractions there  are Bujo-Mujo, Kwela Tebza, Elvovo, Big Nuss, Mosako, TK Maeli, Vee, MC Stagga, DJ Sly, and many more.
