Piracy continues to haunt musicians

When the hologram office started, many people in the music industry were full of hope that finally government was serious about addressing the problem of piracy.

But more than a year after it started operating, more and more performers continue to lose thousands of Pula to unscrupulous individuals who sell fake materials at give-away prices, while their legitimate owners struggle to find their feet in this rough industry.

Incidents of police and officers from the hologram office catching some musician and producers for selling CDs without holograms, have been reported and some musician have been left feeling that the new system is meant to victimise rather than help them.Some musicians, however, are encouraging piracy. They do not take their own work seriously.
