Music industry loses genius in Richard Nkoshwane

The music industry has lost one of the founders of music promotion in Botswana in Richard "Ola Mricho" Nkoshwane who was laid to rest in his home village of Makaleng on August 13.

Another founding music promoter,  Dennis Alexander, in a message sent to the Nkoshwane family describes him as a committed contributor to the growth of the music industry, further describing him as one of the pioneers in this industry.

Born in Makaleng in the North East District in 1953, Nkoshwane worked briefly for various establishments before dedicating his entire life to music promotion. As a person living with a disability to his left arm, Mricho was a living example that "disability is not inability". I met him in the 1990s and immediately liked his business model and through his assistance and wise counsel set up a small music promotion entity called Phillars Promotions.
