Mtukudzi son to rock Gabz

Oliver Mtukudzi's 21-year-old son, Sam, is scheduled to liven up the spirits of jazz lovers at the Botswana Craft tomorrow (Friday), with performances from his Rume Rimwe debut album released in 2007.

Although Sam will be performing in Botswana for the very first time the youngster has seven years of performance experience.  Revellers can expect to be serenaded with the young jazz artist's music from his album, featuring his band, Ay Band, the band he stated and developed.  His album has 12 tracks, all self-composed and arranged by the younger Mtukudzi, except two tracks, one being an adaptation of his father's hit song, Toteza, while the other song was  co-composed by Sam and one Victor Chiduku.

A member of the legend Oliver's Tuku music, Sam has enjoyed performing with his  famous father since he started his career seven years ago.   For Oliver  the Great, it has become a father's joy to  introduce his son to his legion of fans whenever they are sharing the stage, something that is expected tomorrow night at the Botswana Craft.
