Mosadi to premiere at New Capital Cinema

Following the successful screen preview of the Mosadi: Celebrating Women through the Arts documentary, word from the producer of the finished product, Big Dawg Productions, is that the feature-documentary will premiere at Riverwalk's New Capitol Cinema on August 26 at 8:00 pm.

On International Women's Day 2009, at a sold out event at the Gaborone Sun Conference Centre, paying guests saw a 30-minute preview of the documentary,  which told the stories of six outstanding Batswana women who were chosen for their activism and contributions towards enhancing the fabric of Tswana society.

The short screen preview featured Athaliah Molokomme (Attorney General and co-founder of Emang Basadi); Clara Olsen (former MP and owner of the Botswana Gazette); Ntombi Setshwaelo (Gender Activist, Counsellor and co-founder of Emang Basadi); Unity Dow (former High Court Judge); Beata Kasale (Human Rights Activist and co-owner of the Voice); and Leabaneng Masedi (HIV&AIDS counsellor and founder of Matlo go sha Mabapi Counselling centre).
