Molepolole to host cultural festival

Kgosi Sechele I Museum in Molepolole will tomorrow host a cultural festival dubbed 'Dithubaruba Cultural Festival' on the theme "Culture and Economic Diversification Towards 2016".

The annual festival scheduled to begin early in the morning and go on until late, is aimed at promoting a deeper understanding and appreciation of the Kweneng cultural heritage, while at the same time offering leisure for the discerning enthusiast. Kgosi Sechele I Museum's marketing officer, Tlamelo Selaledi, explained that the event also aims to instil a sense of identity and pride amongst the locals and further promote activities of self-expressions such as dance, music, drama and poetry in the district.

The festival will have a number of performances, by various traditional groups and contemporary cultural musicians, including Kwena Madiba, Bana ba Kwena, Dipela tsa ga Kobokwe, Dikgakga, Baepa Ngwao, Dikoma Group, Culture Ambassadors, Sheleng, and Mmadikwena. Patrons will also be treated to drama, and the groups expected to showcase their talent are Tshupo ya Ngwao, House of Men Theatre, KRDA, Baepangwao, Melelo, and Live Storms.
