Miss Botswana to attend All-Africa Festival in Lusaka

Miss Botswana Malebogo Marumoagae will fly to Lusaka, Zambia, for the May 14-26 All-African Cultural Festival as she embarks on her ambitious programme as the country's reigning beauty queen.

The festival in the Zambian capital is aimed at cementing African relations through the fostering and exhibiting of African social and cultural values using "African beauty queens" yearly, as social "Goodwill ambassadors of Africa".

Speaking at a press conference held at Riverwalk to brief journalists on Marumoagae's programme, Director of the Miss Botswana pageant Daisy Botsoba also revealed that Marumoagae is undergoing some "rigorous grooming" in preparation for the Miss World pageant at a venue yet to be announced. Last year's pageant was held in Warsaw, Poland, on September 30.
