Mchakos Goes Solo, Hopes Sky Is The Limit

As is a common phenomenon in local music, one of the most promising kwaito-kwasa groups Street Gang have lost a member who has since gone solo and released his own piece called Mme ntshware.

Opelo Ramorukuru, who formed part of the three-person outfit and is now going by the stage name Mchakos, is hopeful of breaking new ground as a solo performer, just two years after the release of Street Gang's Sukunyetsa.

The 27-year-old believes the band could have gone further had it been under good management and that sensing he would be unable to make people change their minds, he decided to leave.
