Master Dee still passionate about raggae

The last time Master Dee released an album in 2003 with Mist of Darkness, his fifth. Ever since, reggae followers - particularly his fans - have been fanning the mist to see if the musician will swing his dreads again.

But 'the master' moved to the United Kingdom, whence he returned to start Botswana's premier music talent search show, Pop Star - now My Star - which is currently airing on Btv. With viewers glued to their screens every Sunday evening, the show is doing well though it is still to prove its worth by producing contestants ready to take on the world.
But what is of concern is that as Master Dee gives more and more budding pop singers a chance to showcase their talents and prove their passion for music, his own career seems to have taken a tumble. Many are asking themselves whether their idol shifted to My Star because he thought his career as a musician was not going anywhere.

But Dee, whose real name is Keabetswe Sesinyi, says he has not abandoned his singing career. Infact, he tells Showbiz, he has been working on compilating some new pieces and some of his old songs.
