Marumoagae looks back with a sense of satisfaction

Outgoing Miss Botswana Malebogo Marumoagae is looking back on her one-year reign with a trace of nostalgia. Marumoagae will be handing over the crown next month after completing her reign.

It has been a hectic but satisfying period for the Gaborone-based beauty queen. Being Miss Botswana kept her on her toes. "You have to realise that you are a person of the people and you can be invited to a function at any time.  

"It has been a great experience. I was doing something that I wanted to do ever since I was a child. I also wanted to reach out to the young people," she says.
