It is that time of the year once again for members of the public to start gearing up for the annual Maruapula School Setswana Week, scheduled to begin on September 11, under the theme, Ngwao Ke Boleng Jwa me; Ke Ipela Ka Yone (Culture: my roots; my dignity; My Pride).

Organisers of the event told Showbiz that following the successful hosting of the first Setswana Week last year, they have decided to involve more people to make this year's event not only bigger but one of the most spectacular events on the cultural calendar.

Setswana Week, which was initiated by the Department of Setswana at Maru-a-Pula with the support of all Batswana members of staff (teaching and non-teaching staff), will kick-start with a fun-packed cultural concert on September 11, featuring a theatrical performance by Tsoga Africa Theatre Works staging a musical, which according to the organizers, will capture the struggles youngsters go through with the cultural identity crisis, while at the same time showing that culture is evolving.
