Life is never that easy

Run, Lola Run (1998) a.k.a "Lola Rennt" is being shown today only at 7 pm at the Maru a Pula School, A/V Centre (Gaborone Film Society). This is the fourth film in a German Film Festival during April 2008. The show will open with the short music-video feature based on the song I don't believe capturing shots from the film. When Lola walks away at the end of the music video she is with her father.

Run, Lola Run is by the German director Tom Tykwer. He says he began by wanting to make a movie about energy. In this he has eminently succeeded. It has become a popular film among the youth. Tykwer has mixed nearly every possible technique known to filmmakers and with extraordinary results, plus some methods from television.

It was filmed in Berlin, but could have been any central European city. The titles are imaginative and involve 300 extras with pause to show the various stars of the film. The 300 also gathered to make the letters for the title of the film - shot separately and then merged.
