Kitso gives My Star its sparkle

What would talent search show 'My Star' be without that nippy boy Kitso Selato? Whether he emerges as a winner or loses out to anyone else in the final, the 21-year-old would certainly havebeen the star attraction in the Botswana Television (Btv) aired show.

Since the start of the show, the young man has never found himself amongst those with the least vote and it does not look like that would happen any time soon. He knows how to sing in such a way that his voice does not lose the cord. He shows such passion when on stage that both studio audience and those watching at home just feel very much part of his performances and some have shed tears in the process.

Although he says he is still learning, he seems to have learnt much in 2007 when he took part in the same competition, then called Pop Star and like a good win, he is mellowing with time. Each week, he posts an even better performance, thereby keeping the fans guessing as to what he would be bringing to the next show.
