Khama sculpture turns heads in Gabs

The fibreglass sculpture of President Ian Khama by Wailer Motsu is currently turning heads in Gaborone as scores of people stop to admire it.

The  life-size artwork has been taken to a number of circles in the city such as Mogoditshane, FET and airport circles as part of  a local company, Corporate Communications and Publishing's effort to promote Motsu as an individual artist and the visual arts in the country.

According to the Managing Director of Corporate Communications and Publishing, Lini Matenge, a 'substantial amount' was spent to produce  the piece aptly called The Coming of the 4Ds that showcases Khama clad in an overcoat and holding a torch written 4Ds.
