His 3-metre high bronze sculpture called 'The Village Musician' is displayed at Changchun Sculpture Park (China), the oldest sculpture park in the world, yet Isaac Chibua is one of the humblest artists around. The artist's hero, renowned segaba player Ratsie Setlhako, whom Isaac describes as the 'best traditional violinist who was very skillful and much adored,' inspired the work. The 29-year-old Serowe-born artist says his skills are just natural talent since he has never attended a conventional school for the arts.

"I developed interest in painting when I was still very young and by the time I did Form 5 I decided to be a full-time artist," Isaac said

As luck would have it, in 1998, he was sent to Maun to do his national service at Nhabe Museum where he was given the platform to pursue art further.
