Is it the end of the road for Machesa?

Machesa traditional group who used to be the toast of the town seem to have taken the backseat in recent years. Leaving Eric Ramco Records to join David 'Skizo' Molosi looked like a perfect career move, but it proved futile.

Ramco Records had made them African super stars, winning a Kora award in the process and it only made sense that they decided to return to their roots and mentor, Eric Ramogobya last year.

After re-uniting with their former producer the group released a CD titled Maropeng last December which, according to them, was meant to 'test' the market. It did not do well at all and only a few people know about such a release.
