Francistown-based group Ghetto Luv is the new kid on the block on the local jazz scene.

Although it has been in existence for quite sometime not much was known about the group and this is why they recently embarked on a tour to market themselves. During the May Day holidays, the group was in southern Botswana, to launch their album, Itumele.  This was their first tour of jazz venues in the South.

They performed at jazz joints like Jazz Brew in Mochudi, Eros in Tlokweng and their last performance was at the Millennium Jazz Restaurant in Mogoditshane. At the Millennium, they shared the stage with established acts like Shanti-Lo, Citie, Punah Gabasiane, Dikakapa and Lister Boleseng. The Francistowners were not intimidated by their more established rivals.
