If there is one Motswana who can call himself an international artist, it is none other than Moses Maaramela from D'kar in the Gantsi District. One of the things that sets him apart from many of his peers is that most of his buyers are from outside the country.

"It is rare that locals buy my art, so most of my clients are from countries like Canada, Germany, Sweden, the United Kingdom (UK) and Japan," says the artist. According to the humble artist, the reason why 'white' people love his work is that they appreciate it more than locals. He further says  that even the few Batswana who support him by buying his artworks claim they are for 'white people'.

He says that his products have been appreciated by tourists since he was still an upcoming village artist.
