Franco, Matsieng, Shumba bag the money in Moruleng

Three of the top Botswana musos bagged the cash in Moruleng over the weekend after they were booked to perform at the celebration of Bakgatla ba Kgafela's Heritage Week in Moruleng, South Africa.

Shumba Ratshega, real name Moses Malapela, was one of the local music stars who benefited from the Moruleng event, which also saw thousands of Bakgatla's newly initiated regiments perform at the newly built Bakgatla stadium in Moruleng. Shumba for one confirmed that Bakgatla paid him P22, 000.

 "They can afford it, those people are stinking rich. Bakgatla are a wonderful people. The way they support one another is simply admirable. They had also booked us in hotels although we could not use the facilities due to other commitments elsewhere," an elated Shumba said.
