Francistown artists plan arts festival

FRANCISTOWN: Francistown artists are planning an arts festival in the next few months.

Cyril Monkgogi Ndolo, director of Mokwalo Arts and Science, says that Francistown artists have not made it a habit to get together. He says that they were inspired by the workshop that Thapong Visual Arts Centre organised last year.

"After the workshop we decided that we should meet more often as visual artists in this part of the country, but then later on we found that it would be better to meet as artists regardless of whether you are a visual artist or not," he said. He said that, that is when they came up with the idea of an arts festival in Francistown.
