Ramogobya says he is aware that history has a tendency of relegating heroes and heroines to the dustbins, but no one can deny that before he released Moselele by Kgobola, featuring Machesa in 2001, nobody else had ever tried to commercialise the genre.
" I worked hard to commercialise this genre and people were not able to do it until three years later, when I had released the third cultural music album with Machesa," he says. Ramogobya says although no one has sung praises about him before, he feels everyone who is benefiting from cultural music owes him a debt of gratitude. " If they do not owe me money, they owe me big respect, because I opened doors for hundreds of them.
