Eskimos celebrate 10th anniversary

It was formed in 1999 as a dance group, comprising Kagiso Ketswantwa, Kabo Mmolawa, Goitsemodimo Binang and Keitshupile "Mandla" Mokwena.

Mokwena said yesterday that they have managed to stick together despite the odds, which is why they feel they need to celebrate.   He says there are not so many groups that have lasted for such a long time in Botswana. 

"It is not easy for a group to last for 10 years," says Mokwena who has an Eskimos tattoo emblazoned on his left arm.  Besides music, Mokwena says group members are also pursuing private studies.  Mokwena himself is studying sound engineering.
