Eric releases a catchy gospel DVD

Like a wise biblical character, Kabelo Eric, a rising gospel star, has invested his winnings from the Botswana National Youth Service Awards held towards the end of last year, to produce a DVD of some of the songs from his previous two albums. The DVD, named Jutase Wa MoSekariaota, contains six songs: Kuso Banje, Ke Tsamaya Le Jehova, Gaufi Le Morena, Selefera, Lala Knothole, and Ga Nkake.

"Like most people my age, I could have used my winnings to indulge in wasteful escapades, but I decided to use the money wisely," says the artist.

The first song, Kuso Banje, which talks about the power of prayer, was shot at Last Harvest Church in Bontleng and some other locations in Gaborone.  It features the likeable Joel Keitumele, who is also known as Ntsoro, as one of the characters who was changed by the power of prayer. In the video, Keitumele is a young man who is troubled by his car until he leaves everything in God's hands. It also features jazz maestro Lister Boleseng, playing a saxophone. Interestingly, the song was shot early last year and released as a DVD single before the other five and the artist decided to include it in the video because it was well-received, enjoying airtime on both Botswana Television (Btv) and GBC.
