DJ Sid: The Rebirth

Many years after the release of his debut album titled DJ Sid presents P-Side, Sidney "DJ Sid" Baitsile is back with yet another thriller simply titled The Rebirth.

The album was officially launched on July 31 at Club Ozone, which has lately become the most popular venue for music shows in the country. The club is also popular for hosting big South African DJs such as Christos, and Sbu. The Rebirth is a collaboration with DJ Fresh's Big Dawg House operation in Botswana. The 13-track house album has been compiled from over 100 songs collected from both professional and amateur local producers. DJ Ski, Sinewave Productions, Qbito Groove Cartel, DJ Jones and Acid contributed immensely to the project with their tunes and songs. The project has taken over a year to finish.

The show started a few minutes after midnight and attracted a very impressive turnout of music lovers from Tlokweng and its peripheries, a clear indication that music lovers had for a long time been waiting for this project.However, the event started on a low key, but picked up later, featuring such big music icons as DJ Sid himself, DJ Fresh and DJ O'Neal.
