DJ Razah Releases Third Album

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Barulaganye Gadise, known as DJ Razah in music circles, has successfully made a switch from rock to house music and recently released his third album.

An avid rock fan, DJ Razah made early intentions of releasing a rock album, but somehow abandoned the idea preferring the fast selling house music. He released his first album, House Hits 1 three years ago, which contained the hit Motse Ona. He followed that up with the equally well-received House Hits 2 and has now released Ke Alla. The Selebi-Phikwe based DJ said he made a switch from rock to house, as the former is expensive to record. However, he still has a passion for rock music.

DJ Razah said his new album was inspired by the widely used bluetooth technology. The 10-track album is a mix of rave and house music. It kicks off with the title track, Ke Alla in which DJ Razah said he wanted to show his creativity by mixing the bluetooth technology with his own style. It is a danceable mid tempo instrumental, which , however, does not carry weight as the title track. The second track, Tsena o itseele happens to be DJ Razah's favourite and is derived from an old disco tune which has been transformed into a mid-tempo house-rave track.
