Dira penetrates SA market

Traditional music icon Diratsagage Mahupela, of O A Ja O a Jelwa fame, says his efforts to penetrate the South African market are paying dividends following his decision to go solo early this year. Captain Dira broke away from Vee Sento's Black Money-makers in April this year.

The musician, who is also popularly known as  Captain Dira, says he founded  his own company, M16 Entertainment, which he registered in April after a fallout with his former boss,  Vee.

"I can confidently say I see some breakthrough, because now I  even own a business  car, and I'm also releasing my own DVD for  my new album,  Kei Se Ke Je, this August," he told Showbiz.
