Dinkwe Nkgoga set to release DVD

FRANCISTOWN: Traditional music sensation, Dinkwe Nkgosa will soon release a DVD for their album Tlhwaang Tsebe, which hit the shelves late last year.

The six-track album contains hit songs like Thoang tsebe, Reetsang, Madume and Retlholega Teng. One of the group's lead singers, Ontiretse Bakaile, known as 'Nthinthie' in music circles, said the reason they selected Thoang Tsebe as their title was because they wanted to send a strong message to the youth in Botswana to work hard for themselves and refrain from stealing other people's property.

"Also we sing and dance traditional music because we have talent and want to uphold Botswana culture. Even though we sold 5,000 copies outside the country -and 2000 copies locally - we believe our audiences want to see more of us dancing live and that's the reason for releasing the DVD video," he said.
