When Raees Abdoola entered the recently held popular Maruapula Junk't Fashion Show, he had no inkling that he would emerge the event's overall winner. For starters, he was a first time entrant and as if that was not enough, exams were just around the corner so he had little time to finish his entries.

"I had wanted to enter the last two years, but the show always happened around exam-time and I missed out, but this time around, I made sure that I started preparations well on time," Abdoola says, adding that he entered the competition under his 'label' Swagga Couture.
