The storyline is so true to life and depicts what happens in places like the taxi/bus stop by Riverwalk mall, where young men usually converge at month-end when people are paid to rob them of their hard-earned cash. The fraudsters use different tactics, some may even tell you, you are sick or bewitched and take you to a secluded place where they end up stealing your money. This is what happens in Mamenemene. Two men prey on an easily trusting man, Rra Sbee who falls for their trick when they tell him that they are capable of performing miracles. They are traditional doctors who can do whatever he wishes for, so they claim. He is going on a very long trip that will see him away for nearly a month and to prevent his wife from cheating on him, he seeks their services to 'lock' her up, thus making it impossible for any man to come and make love with her. He pays a large sum of money for this 'security' service, only to find out later when he has cut his trip short and returned home, that he had been conned. He finds a man, a man he trusts, in bed with his wife. He is shocked by the discovery, for it shows him that the 'lock' had been broken after all. The movie gives an expose into the minds of the criminals and how they use people and their belief in miracles to rob them of their money.
