Crown of Ballet Moscow set for GICC

Rejoice ballet lovers, a ballet show of all time is coming to town. WesSide Entertainment in conjunction with the Grand Palm Hotel Casino Convention Resort is bringing a show to remember, the Crown of the Ballet Moscow.

The internationally acclaimed ballet is scheduled for September 11 and 12, at the Gaborone International Convention Centre (GICC).

"After a huge success of the Stars of the Ballet Moscow hosted in August 2006, WeSSide Entertainment and the Grand Palm Hotel Casino Centre Convention Resort are delighted to bring back some of the best ballet dancers to Botswana," a statement from the duo noted. This year's programme, according to the organisers, will include Carmen-George Bizet (a one-act ballet), Romeo and Juliet-P Tchaikovsky (another one-act ballet), extract of The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker and Symphony NO5. The Crown of the Ballet Moscow was founded in 1997. The company is headed by artistic director Anna Alexidze, the representative of a famous ballet dynasty and chief choreographer Anatoly Emelianov, the lead dancer of the company. He is also the principal dancer of the Metropolitan Classical Ballet (United States of America (US).
