Botswana set to celebrate its women achievers

Music galore, poetry, and the screening of a documentary will be the order of the day as the nation celebrates Batswana women achievers at the Gaborone Sun on March 8, the International Women's Day.

The event is being organised by Tshepo Sikwane of Big Dawg Productions, Mpho Laing, journalist and fashion editor of Lapologa Magazine who is also the ambassador of Mosadi, Bakang Sebele, the founder of the non-profit organisation Youth Alive, which focuses on HIV/AIDS and related issues and how they affect the youth, and Native Impressions' Communications, Public Relations and Change Management Senior Strategist, Lepang Ferguson. 

According to the organisers, the event is also meant to commemorate the International Women's Day, raise awareness on women's issues in Botswana, and give women artists and designers exposure.
