Botswana and Mozambican exhibition at Thapong

The Thapong Visual Art Centre is hosting an exhibition by artists from Botswana and a group of artists associated with Nucleo de Arte in Maputo, Mozambique, which marks collaboration between the two camps.

The exhibition, which officially opened last Friday, has works of five artists, among them Sedireng Mothibatsela, who trained in the United States of America, and has exhibited widely in the USA, South Africa, and Botswana. Mothibatsela is currently a teacher at Maru-a-Pula school.

Another exhibitor is Mike Robinson, who trained in the United Kingdom and South Africa. Robinson has exhibited in Europe, the Caribbean, South Africa, and Botswana, and is currently teaching in the UK.
