"Vibes pulse as the air dances to the beat, goes on and on, touching nothing you can name yet moving everything." That's all there is to be said about the Exodus Live Poetry open mic session held Tuesday at Khwest.

Well, no, not really, but it is certainly something that I have to say about an ideal evening spent appreciating the skill and flair boasted by local lyricists enjoying their nights and sharing their thoughts and experiences. The night was cool, and the atmosphere was perfect for soulful words to be spoken.

Once initial sound problems had been sorted out and everyone had their drinks in their hands, the words began to flow. The relaxed atmosphere of Caf Khwest in the main mall provided the ideal setting; with the outdoor area available for those seeking a cigarette and good conversation, and all the seats indoors taken by those wanting to catch every word the poets had to offer, this fortnightly event should definitely be considered a stunning success.
