Gone are the days when Batswana relied entirely on imported clothing labels as more and more young people are tapping the market and giving locals a broader range of choices.

Botswana may still be far from being self-reliant in terms of goods and services, but in the near future we might see international clothing labels slowly fading into oblivion as more and more Batswana have taken it upon themselves to establish their own clothing labels that are giving foreign and more established labels a good run for the money.

Four youngsters, who are training to be teachers at the Tlokweng College of Education (TCE) and have launched a brand new clothing label, titled Porcupine, are the latest group to enter the fray.
