The bloodshed after Good Friday

A day after Christians would have commemorated the suffering of Christ on the cross, there is bound to be more suffering and bloodshed except that this time the sweat and blood will be on the football pitch.

With six games to spare, the Barclays English Premiership could be decided this  Saturday when log leaders, Manchester United host title rivals, Chelsea. Only a lousy one point separates the two sides. At the moment, Manchester United enjoys a point advantage while Chelsea have a superior goal difference.  

None of the two teams can afford a slip as the league heads for the home stretch.
The jury is out; Arsene Wenger's young Arsenal team only flattered to deceive. Count Arsenal out. This league is now a two-horse race.
Reigning champions, Manchester United who will be gunning for a historic 19th title will be buoyed by the home crowd at Old Trafford. Most Manchester United supporters have aimed their guns at the club's American owners. They have recently turned home games into picket lines to campaign against the owners of the club. However, the fans even in their disillusionment have not failed to cheer their team. This Saturday, the noise level at Old Trafford is bound to reach higher decibels and thus making it very difficult for Chelsea to play their normal game.
