Lobatse International Beef Festival slated for Saturday

In its fifth year, the festival is a melting pot of indigenous beef-based dishes that are envisioned to celebrate Botswana’s rich beef heritage. The event is a showcase of rustic three-legged pot meats like mokwetjepe, mokoto, Serobe and a succulent beef braai complemented by a choice of pap or bogobe. Families are encouraged to come out and enjoy the festival. A provision made especially for children, the Kiddies’ Corner, is a highlight of the main event. The Kiddies Corner, under adult supervision, will have fun activities for children that include games, face painting and jumping castles.
In an effort to serve the community in which it operates, the Lobatse International Beef Festival, this year, reduced the prices of exhibition stalls to enable small business entrepreneurs to participate and showcase. Arts and craft stalls are also making a debut in this year’s festival, increasing the variety of what is on offer for revellers.
