Immigration should be softened urgently

Legislators brought a ray of hope when they called on the government last week to relax immigration laws that make it impossible to attract Foreign Direct Investment.

Amid high unemployment rate, government’s announcement that it is not mandated with creating jobs, a very small population, and low entrepreneurship skills/culture among Batswana, it will make sense to open doors to foreigners with the aforementioned qualities to come and open businesses and create jobs.
