The Court of Appeal (CoA) is scheduled to hear a case by the Botswana Federation of Public Sector Unions (BOFEPUSU) seeking the definition of the role of the Public Sector Bargaining Council (PSBC).

The BOFEPUSU deputy secretary general Ketlhalefile Motshegwa said the application would be heard on January 23.

The case arose after Justice Michael Leburu of the High Court ruled last year that the four percent salary increase by the government would not stop BOFEPUSU from bargaining for a higher increase or seek redress through a normal court process, rather than on urgency.
