The Professional Boxing Association of Botswana (PBAB) faces trying times with mounting pressure on its president, Seroba Binda, to resign.

According to information reaching this publication, affiliates have written a letter to the executive committee, dated January 3, calling for a special general meeting and the dissolution of the executive committee due to a lack of quorum following the resignation of other members.

This is not the first time Binda has faced opposition, surviving a motion of no confidence during an Annual General Meeting (AGM) in November. Responding to the call for a meeting, Binda explained the challenges in convening a Special General Meeting. “Note that upon receiving the letter, secretary-general, Kabelo Gadise, tried to convene a meeting of the executive committee to no avail since members failed to form a quorum.
