Three athletes have tested positive for a banned substances as more local sportsperson continue to be caught on the wrong side of the doping rules.

According to information reaching Mmegi Online, the sportspersons are Refilwe Murangi and Galaletsang Gabalotegwe from athletics and softball's Kagiso Mogale. The substance found in the two athletes is anabolic androgenic steroids (AAS) Oxymetholone metabolite while diuretics and masking agents/furosemide were found in Mogale's system. Botswana has seen an increase in the number of athletes who test positive for banned substance, with athlete, Lydia Jele serving a hefty eight year ban for the offence.

Don't let FMD outbreak drag on
