FRANCISTOWN: Despite their 3-1 victory over Extension Gunners at Francistown Old Stadium over the weekend, TAFIC have missed out on winning their first league title.

Gaborone United (GU) sealed the title on Saturday afternoon with one round of matches left to play.

Matjimenyenga's hopes of winning the trophy were diminished following their 1-1 draw with Morupule Wanderers last Wednesday. Elias Chinyemba is however pleased with the team's overall performance this season. Chinyemba expressed his satisfaction with the players and fans' support. He mentioned how the players were a little slow in the first half of the match against the Extension Gunners, but staged a fantastic comeback in the second half. "We found it difficult to hold our opponents, particularly in the midfield because they attacked frequently," Chinyemba said.
