The Botswana Softball Association (BSA) has released the preliminary squad for the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) Africa women’s qualifiers to be played at the National Diamond from February 6 to 10.

The qualifiers will pave way for top two teams who will represent Africa at the XVII WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup. Countries that will take part are Tanzania, Lesotho, South Africa, Uganda, Kenya, Zimbabwe and Zambia.

In 2019, Botswana played two qualifiers, being the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and the World Cup. The team booked themselves a ticket to Holland in the Olympic qualifiers after coming tops against South Africa.
