After documented struggles, bright days could be on the way for sport following the Minister of Finance Peggy Serame's announcement of a proposed 317% budget increase for sport development.

The proposed funding for the Ministry of Youth, Gender, Sport, Culture (MYSC) under the 2024-2025 budget includes athletes’ appearance fees, incentives, and camping allowances.
