Seakanyeng, Ditlhokwe back in Zebras fold

Zebras captain, Thatayaone 'TT' Ditlhokwe and winger, Kabelo Seakanyeng have returned to the national side after missing the previous round of the World Cup qualifiers.

Ditlhokwe asked to be excused for the back-to-back encounters away to Algeria and Mozambique, with both matches ending in defeat for the Zebras. Seakanyeng was omitted as a disciplinary measure after coach, Morena Ramoreboli expressed disappointment with the winger's attitude after he was substituted against Somalia earlier this year. But it appears the two have smoked the peace pipe and the forward has returned to the side ahead of next month's World Cup qualifiers against Uganda (home) and Guinea (away). Today, Ramoreboli announced a preliminary squad that is dominated mostly by players from Jwaneng Galaxy, Township Rollers, Gaborone United and Mochudi Centre Chiefs players.

A promising step for public schools, but...

For too long, the state of many public schools has been a source of shame. We have all seen the pictures and heard the stories of broken windows, unreliable water and electricity, topped by classrooms that are not fit for proper learning. The establishment of the Education Infrastructure and Management Company Ltd (EIMC) signals that authorities are finally ready to take this problem seriously. We must commend the government for this initiative....
