Rollers defends steep Chiefs tie ticket pricing

Township Rollers have defended the ticket pricing for their international friendly match against Kaizer Chiefs next week Saturday.

Popa will take on the South African giants at the National Stadium as part of both teams’ pre-season preparations. The cheapest ticket will cost P50, while the most expensive is pegged at P500, which is higher than an average league match ticket.

Tickets for league matches cost between P30 for the rest of the ground, while covered stands are prized at P60. For the Rollers-Chiefs friendly game, the North and South stands tickets are selling at P50, Panda stands at P80, P200 for the Grand stands while a VIP seat costs P500. Rollers, however, said the tie is more than just a football game.
