Following fears of a player exodus at Township Rollers, newly appointed club chairperson Thapelo ‘Fish’ Pabalinga has moved to pour cold water on the claims. Popa are facing their biggest cash crunch in recent years, with the playing and technical departments amongst the hardest hit.

The club has struggled on several occasions to meet salary obligations, leaving rivals circling, looking to poach players from the Blues.

Rollers have confirmed the departures of midfielders Mothusi Cooper and Kenneth Muguna, as well as forward Godfrey Tauyatswala, who joined Morocco’s MC Oujda, Sua Flamingoes, and Gaborone United (GU) on loan, respectively.
