Township Rollers gaffer has played down defeat to cross-town rivals Gaborone United (GU) in the new season curtain raiser saying they will dust themselves and prepare for the league.

The Blue’s head coach, Srdan Zinojnov, says the weekend’s defeat to the Money Machine gave him a clearer picture of his squad and was also a wake-up call. Just a week before the start of the 2025-2026 FNB Premiership, Rollers and GU clashed in the Sunbet Charity Cup at the GU Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Reds registered a 2-0 win with goals from Omphile Ramoagi and Mpho Kgaswane, one in each half, giving the team bragging rights ahead of the new season.
