Jwaneng Galaxy’s forward, Thabang Sesinyi says he was pushed all the way after finishing as the joint 2022/2023 Botswana Premier League (BPL) top goal scorer.

Sesinyi became the first player in the BPL era to win the award on two consecutive occasions as he finished on par with Orapa United's Omaatla Kebatho with 23 goals each.

‘Gaucho’ in an interview with Sport Monitor said he faced stiff competition throughout the season and credited the local league's marksmen. “I think most of the attacking players throughout the teams in the league have been hampered by injuries. That has often killed their momentum going forward and in trying to achieve their personal goals.
