Zebras coach, Morena Ramoreboli will name his final squad for the Africa Cup of Nations finals this morning in Gaborone.
The announcement was scheduled for yesterday, but was postponed following the death of Botswana Football Association (BFA) national executive member, Keleeme Bahakgametse. In a statement yesterday evening, the BFA indicated that the squad announcement will go ahead today at Crest Lodge. Ramoreboli recently announced a 55-man preliminary squad and is expected to pick his final list from the provisional side.
The Zebras are in the same group as Senegal, Benin and Democratic Republic of Congo. They kick off their campaign against Senegal on December 23, before facing Benin three days later, they round their group stage campaign against the DRC on December 29. Senegal has prepared with recent friendlies against England and Kenya, while Benin played Burkina Faso last week, while the DRC are fresh from a morale-boosting win over Cameroon and Nigeria in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
